Album Review: Jennifer Hudson - I Remember Me

I absolutely love this album. Jennifer is back with one of the best albums this year. I know some people expected her to have those extremely big ballad songs songs but I love the directon she went in with this album. She collaborated with alot of great producers and song writers on this album (Alicia Keys & R. Kelly to name a few). I've heard some people say they didn't like the album, but if you really listen to it, you can feel the happiness, and joy in her voice. After all she been through she has pulled through wonderfully. I think this album is most definitely for the grown and sexy folks lol. I'm proud of Jennifer's sophomore effort, and I hope it gets promoted well & sell great.

I hear that my girl Jennifer Hudson is going on tour in the Spring.

When she hit your town, will you be there?

She will be performing at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

I also read somewhere she will be re releasing her album.

I don't get into football. So my answer was No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL... And I'm not ashamed of it either LOL.

The only thing I watched was Jennifer Hudson singing the National Anthem, and she killed it! I love her. It was so nice to finally see her out singing again. If you missed it check it out below.

Mary J. Blige - Growing Pains

The time frame I used to distinguish this was from November 2007 - November 2008. I hate when someone just release a album, and it's titled album of the year, and it has not even been out long enough to get that title lol. My opinion is based on albums that were release, and out for a good amount of time.

I think this one of Mary's best albums ever! This CD is just phenomenal to me man. She killed every song. And it's one of those albums that you can just play, and listen to every song without skipping through the CD. With this CD you get to experience a much more mature & happy Mary. Alot of people say, "I like the Old Mary. The My Life Mary." But you know what I love this Mary. Yes "My Life" was the CD. But when you listen to that CD, then listen to this one, you can definitely appreciate this album so much more. All the real Mary fans that has grown with her, understands this album, and how important it is for her to be where she is with this album right now. This was the best album of 2008. And I can't wait for Ms. Mary J. Blige to release another album. It's like she's a brand new artist on the scene just doing her thing. There is really no competition when it comes to her! There is no one that started in the game when she did, that's still killing it like she does now.

Alicia Keys - As I Am

Who don't love Alicia Keys? LOL... This CD was like a healing tool for me around the time it came out. It is a great CD. I don't think it's her best CD, but it's definitely a good one. I remember when I used to put this CD on my Ipod, and just jog around the track. Alicia voice was like cough syrup to a cold in my ears lol.

Leona Lewis - Spirit

This damn girl can sang!!!! I love this CD. I tell you this, she was the best New Artist of 2008. Her CD takes me back to the days when singers like Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston actually put out albums where they sing songs without all the hip hop influenced sounds or beats. This was a perfect Cd, and I wore these songs out on this album through out my blog postings this year lol.

Duffy - Rockferry

OMG. My boy Darrick put me on about this girl, and I got into her CD, and it blew me away. Her voice is so tantalizing. It makes you want more, and more of her. Her album is a must have.

Carrie Underwood - Carnival Ride

The queen of sales when it comes to American Idol. This girl kills it in the country world. Her album is like a breath of fresh air when I listen to it. Love the stories country music tells. And she sings them exceptionally.

Jennifer Hudson - Jennifer Hudson

O my baby finally got her album out towards the end of the summer, and I was so excited and glad she did. This album gave people mixed reviews, based on what people where expecting from the big voice diva, but once you got passed that, you realise this CD is a really great album. I love the album. Too bad her promotion for it came to a end due to the tragedies that occurred in her family this pass holiday season. But I hear she's back to work, and ready to get it cracking again. I love me some Jennifer. I wish her the best, and I'm glad she's pulling through the best way she can.

And you guys better believe that my two girls will be on my list next year (Brandy & Beyonce`) lol... I feel their albums were just released less than 2 months ago, so I won't count them this time lol. ;)

I'm so excited that today is Friday. How about y'all?

I have so much to do. I have school photos today. And every time they take my picture it comes out horrible. Hopefully this year they got someone who knows what they are doing for a change lol.

I have to go see my little nephews off for Trick or Treating tonight. Of course I will be snapping photos like there is no tomorrow lol. Then Saturday night I have a Halloween party to attend, and I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do as far as a costume.

I'm still in shocked about the things surrounding Jennifer Hudson's family. I truly feel for her right now. Keep her & her family in your prayers everyone. I was going to do a blog about her album b4 these tragedies occurred in her family, but I figured I would do it here. Everyone knows I love me some Jennifer Hudson, so I wanted to take my time, and listen to her Cd before I gave a review on it. I have to say I love the CD. But @ 1st I was expecting a more soulful type of album from her, but this CD is hot! It's all I been playing since it came out. As of yesterday, her album was released a month ago. (Shakes head)... This girl career is blowing up with a hit album, and movie, and some mess like this happens in her life. SAD!!!!! But anyway, I give the CD 4 1/2 stars. Go get her CD if you haven't done so already. It's worth every dime. Some days it's hard to listen to her CD with all this stuff surrounding her life right now. U cant help but think about her or the pain she's enduring while hearing her beautiful voice in your ears.

So your boy decided to finally make it official with the guy I been dating for almost 3 months. So I's married now LMAO.....but naw, I'm extremely happy with my new babe. Does everything right, and makes me feel really special. He makes my world so much better, and I'm looking forward to our journey together. This Toni Braxton song expresses how I'm feeling @ the moment about him LoL. :)

Tragedy Strikes In Jennifer Hudson's Family

I'm sure most of you heard the horrible news by now about Jennifer Hudon's mother & brother being murdered Friday morning. If not click here to read up on the story.

Things like this is so fu*king senseless man. I don't mean to curse, but what is this world becoming. You got a great singer/actress at the peak of her career, then something like this happens to her mother & brother. I tell you life is definitely too short, and most people don't value it anymore. It was a time where we as black people worked together to fight for rights, and stuck together to raise family's, and things of that nature just to survive this crazy cruel world. Now we are just out here killing each other for money, and other stupid things. If our ancestors could see what we are doing to each other today they would be so ashamed to know this is what they died for. And I know this is not the primary subject here, but I just sick of brothers & sister killing one another for no reason. GOD gave us life, and who are you to decided when someone leaves this earth or not? I could go on & one, but I pray for Jennifer & her family. May god bless them & guide them threw out this difficult time. People we have to put a end to violence. Where does it get you. NO WERE!!!! The devil is really trying to take over, but GOD will always prevail.

I'm a lost for words, because the day I seen this young lady on American Idol I knew she was destine to be the entertainer she is today. I love her so much, and she is an inspiration to a lot of young people. I hope she continues to bless this world with her many talents, and keep her faith in Jesus Christ. For he is the victory to all glory. I don't get or understand why bad things happen to good good people, but only God knows, and one day we can hopefully understand!

Jennifer Hudson, your fans, friends, and family are all here for you. Bless You and angain I'm so sorry for you lost!

These chicks are singing in this song. Now this should have been the final two on America Idol Season 3. Even though I wanted Jennifer to win that year, I love Fantasia too. It's nice to see they both are doing what they love. Can't wait for Jennifer's CD to drop on September 30th.

I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in L.A." says the rep.

Otunga, who is known as "Punk" from the reality show I Love New York 2, popped the question with a Neil Lane diamond ring on the Dreamgirls Oscar winner's 27th birthday.

The couple, who have been dating less than a year, both hail from Chicago.

Professionally, it is a busy time for Hudson as well. Her debut solo album, Jennifer Hudson, will be in stores Sept. 30, and her next film, The Secret Life of Bees opens on Oct. 17.

What do u guys think about this Jennifer Hudson Track?

I think it's pretty cool. A lil' different from what I'm used to or expect from her, but after bumping it in my ride all weekend, I really got into it. It's produced by Timbaland & Jim Beanz. I think it's a nice track, and would be nice to see her perform it live.
