Words can not express how I'm feeling right now about this blog entry!!!! I never thought in a million years that I would be typing R.I.P. to Whitney Houston!!!! I can't take this........ I'm extremely sad about this news!!!! I grew up to Whitney...... I just don't understand..... :( I will always love you Whitney & here is my favorite song by you!!!! Brings me to tears!!!!!!
I know it's been a minute since I blogged. But I wanted to check in on you guys to see what been going on with you. Me, I've just been extremely busy. Photo shoots & working two jobs is no joke lol. But it's all stuff I love to do so it's all good.
Today I wanted to talk about Whitney Houston. I don't know how many of you caught her on Oprah this past week (if not some of it is posted below), but I loved her interview. I'm so glad she opened up to Oprah the way she did. Watching her on that show made me realize why we all love her so much. Al-tho I wasen't blown away by her CD, she still is very much a Icon, and I support her all the way. Her new CD "I Look To You" debut at #1 last week, and she finally released her new video for "Million Dollar Bill" (posted below as well). I'm glad Whitney is back, and it's nice to see her back at doing what she does best. GO WHITNEY!!!!
Here are my top 5 songs this week everyone. Hope your week has been filled with nothing but positive things. Hope all is well, and I hope you all have a great week ahead.
The # 1 song on my list is by a Artist named ColbieCaillat. Her music really touches my soul when I hear it. I have to tell you this story. Last weekend me & a best friend of mines was up until like 2 in the morning talking on yahoo IM about music, and I saw her album was coming out this coming Tuesday, and decided to preview it, and when I got to the song "I Never Told You" I instantly fell in love with the 30 sec preview of the song. I replayed it, and replayed it for days until, my boyspeaking hypothetically sent it to me. I been having it on repeat every since lol. Just listen to it y'all. If you love music, you will definitely get into this song. She is an amazing artist. Love her song "Realized" from last year, which actually was my favorite song of 2008.
Check out a live performance of "Realize" below:
I'm really starting to feel this Mariah track. I mean she is talking some stuff up in this song lol. And it's hot! It kills me that people think she started this beef with that rapper Eminem. If you heard his albums over the years you would know he's been dissing Mariah for years, so she's entitled to come back, and ask why are you "Obsessed" with me, because he been talking about her for years. Now she comes out with one lil' song, and he's goes crying again. I can't stand that boy lol. I used to like him back in the day, but over the years he's become lame. Shoot I better watch it, he may come across this one day, and do a rap about my a** huh lmao. I wouldn't even care. I mean who still does beef records anyway? LOL
I really love Whitney for her song "I Look To You." You can hear & feel where she been in this song. No she's not singing it like the old Whitney, but the feeling of the song touches you just the same. It's a very inspirational song.
Amanda Blank's music can get any party started. She has some hot music!
Maxwell sings this song. Oh that voice is so hypnotic lol. What are some of your favorite songs this week?
Hey guys. I just wanted to see how every one has been doing lately. I been extremely busy since I've been working at the salon. I have to tell you I absolutely love it! I feel so blessed to be doing some of the things I'm doing right now. I'm creating a photography website with a partner to do more professional shoots & they will be coming soon. So stay tuned for that. I also wanted to mention that I will be doing my top 5 songs list on Sundays now instead of Thursdays like I used too. Sunday, Mondays, & Tuesdays are my free days to blog, and so on. With trying to create my business, working in a shop, having a full time job, and being married LMAO, can be a lot lol. But I will always make sure I keep up with my people over here on blogger. Even though I don't know were half of you been, but I still got love for y'all. So I will be checking out all your pages in the next few days. Hope to see/read some good stuff.
