Keep Hope Alive

I just wanted to take this moment to focus on a particular subject. And that subject today is Faith. A lot of us are loosing it (faith) in these hard economic times we are facing lately. A lot of people I know (including myself) had been laid off from work this year, and had to or have been suffering a great deal because of it. This has truly caused a lot of depression, and doubt for a lot of us. But I'm here to say you just have to have faith in God that all things happen for a reason, and push on towards your blessings. I worked at my job for 5 years, and didn't know how I was going to make it after being laid off. This was something I've never talked about until now. But I see it's happening to a lot of people (I know), and I just want be a witness to them, that things will get better. When I got laid off I continued to got to school, and I worked a job I normally wouldn't particularly work. But I pushed pride aside, and did what I had to do to survive in this rough world. Nobody gives a hell if you don't wanna work here or there. That mail man is still going to deliver you those bills, and rent is always due on the 1st. So I had to roll up my sleeves, and WORK! Unemployment ain't SH*T! I had to stop complaining, and make my way in this world. I kept praying with hopes of doing something that I love. I love hair, makeup, and photography. So I said that's what I will make my goal after graduation. Forget these all these jobs that you may work your ass off for years, and they just drop you when they wanna. Well I'm happy to say God heard my prayers, because I got a job doing what I love now. I will begin working in a salon in VA on the 6Th of August. To others that may not mean anything, but to me it does because I spent three years in a school to master this craft, and I'm thankful for the lady who hired me. I'm thankful that she is taking a chance on me with her business, and acknowledged my talent. That means so much to me. Eventually I will quit what I'm doing now to work with her full time, once I get my clientele up up and UP LOL. So I may have lost a job I was used to, and went through some things, but I kept hope alive, and had faith, and because I did, I was blessed. And I'm truly thankful. So too all my people going through it, get ready for Gods blessing. All you gotta do is believe. ..... One step away from getting that Job On America's Next Top Model (doing the models makeup and hair) LOL... That's one prayer I definitely hope God hears lol. Have a great rest of the day.

P.S.

Do Anyone remember this Tamia song?

What a wonderful post. These words reflected my life for most of the year. I went through the same things, put 'pride' aside, and did what I needed to do to pay the bills. Something solid came along in the process, which I know will help me get to that desired stage in my career. I also got an amazing platonic friend out of the situation. I'm so glad you found such a satisfying position at the salon. You look SO happy in your picture and even though my day wasn't the best--I smiled along with you.

I agree with everyone sentiments. Also, you did just what you're supposed to do. Not question but keep on pushing because God always has a plan for us and it's bigger than anything we can imagine. One piece of advice...always talk about what it is you want to do...because you never know who's listening and that person could give you what you want or know someone who can.

And about my post...I knew I would hear from you. I'm on my way to your office with my head hanging down...LOL
