And The # 1 SINGLE & ALBUM this week is.......

Billboard News Reports:

Leona Lewis Returns To No. 1 On The Hot 100
After vacating the top spot last week to Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body," Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" returns to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with a 2-1 jump. Lewis thus becomes the first British-born artist to simultaneously top the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 since Phil Collins in 1990 and first female since Olivia Newton-John in 1974.

Leona Lewis Makes Big Splash Atop Billboard 200
British import Leona Lewis' "Spirit" bows atop The Billboard 200 this week, making her the first U.K. solo artist to start at No. 1 with their debut effort. The Syco/J album moved 205,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan, with sales fueled by her No. 1 Hot 100 single "Bleeding Love." The singer was discovered on Simon Cowell's "The X Factor" in Britain.

Lewis becomes the first Brit solo act to lead The Billboard 200 since Rod Stewart's "Still the Same... Great Rock Classics of Our Time" in the Oct. 28, 2006 issue. Moreover, she becomes the first British female soloist to do so since Sade's "Promise" reached No. 1 in February 1986, a couple of months before Lewis' first birthday.

The release of "Spirit" stirs an 11% rise for "Bleeding Love," which returns to No. 1 on Hot Digital Songs with 223,000 sold for the week (2-1). The song has sold 1.1 million copies since U.S. downloads became available in late December, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Check out her album y'all. It's a great CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wassup D!! Sorry for my lack of appearnce. You know I had to stop in for the latest and greratest!!

I have heard a lot about Leona Lewis. This year has been an exciting one thus far with high quality projects seeing light and air play. With Janet, Mariah releasing their projects, Madonna on the way, as well as Estelle and Usher, we are definitely, finally, getting our fixx. Great post!!!

I used to watch her on X-Factor on the BBC channel about two years ago, and I was hoping that she would win. I watched X-Factor more than I watched American Idol. LOL. I thought her performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was one of the best I had heard ever, so I was waiting for her album to come out.

She is excellent. Her voice is pure and clean. Beautiful, and her album is GREAT.
