Book Review: Push By Sapphire

A+
I totally enjoyed reading this book. I have to admit, the way it was written really got to me at times, but that's what made the book great. The main character told her story they way she talked, and that itself made it very interesting. This book is so touching. At times (to me) funny as well (when I say funny, I mean the way the main character Precious starts cursing out folks in her head & so on.) Believe it or not what this young girl went through in this book truly happens around America. Sad but true. I'm totally excited about the movie coming out made based on this book called Precious staring Gabourey Sidibe, Lenny Kravitz, Paula Patton, Mo'nique, & Mariah Carey. While reading the book I just imagined each actor playing their parts, which was pretty cool (to me). But, you guys if you have not read push, its a must read. I'm glad my Book Club Cover-to-Cover read this book for the month of June. I loved it. Get into this, and let me know what you guys think. If you've read it already, let me know how you liked it as well. Are you going to see the movie? It already won 3 awards at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Check out the trailer below. Amazing!
