Our New President......

Barack Obama

This has been a great experience, and a very important part of our history. I'm very happy, and thrilled about this outcome. Congrats to Barack Obama. A change has been made. It will take more than voting him in office (even though is a GREAT Start!) for this country to get it together, and we all must do our part in helping the New President succeed at what he will do in the next 4 years of our lives. He needs our support all year around. Not just the vote now.

I've never in my life seen so many folks so excited about an election before in my whole 27 years. Yesterday, standing in line @ the polls was like standing in line with family members. People were super excited. I seen so many young people out voting as well as older. Yesterdays outcome and experience is definitely a historical day as well as moment for me, and everyone in this country. We as African Americans came a long way. With the likes of Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Fredrick Douglass, Malcolm X, and so many others, known, and unknown over the many years that fought, took a stand, shed blood & tears, and only dreamed of a day like this, would be absolutely proud, as well as we are all today. I'm thankful to be here to experience this wonderful achievement our country has been blessed with.

What does this moment mean to you guys, and how has this experience changed your life, or what impact did it make?

this moment gives me hope, not just for myself but for my children. Being a parent during these times has made me really lose hope and with Mr. Obama becoming our president my FAITH has now been restored. I can now look my children in there little faces and tell them; Yes, you can be what ever you want to be!

Persoanlly it makes me want to strive for even greater success in my personal and professional life, and I can't wait to tell my kids and grandkids that the first black president was sworn in on my Birthday =)
