My Trip to The ATL This Pass Weekend

This pass weekend me and two buddies (one new) ;) went to ATL for a surprise birthday party for a friend of all of ours, and I really enjoyed the trip. The drive was long of course, as usual. I got car sick! I can't ride in a car for that many dag on hours lol. But I made it there. Headache and all. We stayed at this hotel call Georgian Terrace Hotel ,and it was really beautiful inside. The rooms looked like apartments. It had a pool, workout center, and everything. Shoot, I wished I could live there. I ate soo much on this trip. I know I had to at least gain like 5 pounds I'm telling you lol.... we ate at Gladys Knight and Ron Winans Chicken & Waffles the 1st night there, then this place called OK Cafe the next day. Between these two places, and eating on the road, I felt like a stuff turkey they whole trip.

We did some site seeing. We visited the The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change Inc. building. It felt great to be able actually see Dr. King and his wife Coretta Scott King old clothing, and accessories they owned back in the day. Shorty after our visit there (after being in the heat cooking for a few hours) we went to jump in the pool @ the hotel. It had the nerve to rain, and thunder once we did that lol. But it still was fun. My two buddy's witness a car running into another car from our hotel window. See our windows were facing the parking garage that people used for the hotel, and the theater where "The Color Purple" play was playing. I felt like we were detectives. They took pictures of this one vehicle trying to leave after the woman driving it hit another truck. We ran down from the 6 floor, and caught the lady with security. I know she was mad because they investigated that for hours, and she missed most of the show lol.

You know what kills me. We had soo many folks come up to us begging for money or change. Now I'm not being mean, but dag. See I was kinda planning on NOT to going to the party so they left without me. So I sat around the hotel like hmmm, I'm should just go. Plus I wanted to meet the bday boy. So I decided to go, and this older guy assumes I'm lost or something then calls himself walking near me trying to help me find the place where the party was. I was like I'm good. He was like your not from around here are you? I'm like this mutherf**ker better go ahead somewhere lol. So he was like I'm going to help you get to the place your going. I take care of you, you take care of me. I'm like WHAT! What the hell you mean? He was talking all this mess while I'm on the phone. I'm like dude, move the hell on. He then ask can I have a few dollars, and I started getting madder, and madder. I was like look I don't have no dam money, and leave me alone. He says you young people, and your plastic. (Talking about credit cards). I'm like don't get mad at me because you want some of MY Money shoot lol. Anyway got to the party. Met some cool folks. It was really nice. At the end of the night I'm glad I went. The next day we packed, and ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant. (Well it was free because we caught that lady I was telling y'all about earlier that hit that car lol. Our parking was free too). Then we headed back to town. And again, the car sickness kicked in lol. I'm glad I took this trip with these to great guys, because I wasn't going to go once a friend of minds decided not to (punk). But I met a new friend, meet some cool people, and just got a chance to get away from Baltimore for a change, and see something new. This was my second time visiting the ATL. My 1st was with an ex, and that was nothing compared to this visit!

Here are some photos... (my buddies wouldn't like it if I posted too many pics so I chose a few lol)

The water was cold!!!!!!!!!

Me After the pool, all wet lol.

I also wanted to acknowledge DJ K Swift's funeral. It was this pass weekend as well. Reports said she died from breaking her neck after diving into her pool. Some sources say alcohol played a part in this accident, but has been ruled out until further notice, and will be reported as the investigators discover more details. This is a sad situation. May she rest in peace, and may god be with her family friends, and fans during this time of need.

Looks like you guys had a pretty good time D. What I don't appreciate you doing is calling me a punk, PUNK! LMAO! I had my reasons for not going, and I appreciate you respecting that.

I'm glad you had a good time over all. Too bad for the motion sickness. If you know you're taking a long trip, you should medicate yourself. LOL
