702 Original Member Orish Grinstead Dead At 27

Orish Grinstead, (one of the original members of 702, twin sister to current member Irish, and younger sister to current member Lameisha) passed away this Sunday (April 20) from kidney failure, according to Realgossip101.com. She was only 27 years old.

When a friend of mines called me about this early this AM I thought they were talking about one of the members in the group @ 1st. Either way it's still sad, and my prayers and condolence's goes out to their family. I do remember Orish when 702 1st originated, and made their recorded debut on Subway's hit single "This Lil' Game We Play". Before their solo album No Doubt was recorded and released in the fall of 1996, Orish left the group (along with their cousin Amelia) and was replaced by childhood friend, Kameelah Williams. Which created the trio we know today as 702. Next to TLC, 702 is my next favorite female group.
