............ a heterosexual guy told me at work the other day. We've recently been hanging out at the movies after work for the last few weeks, and he told me this. He said some people have sorta teased him about hanging around me so much lol. He's a bit younger than me. To be honest it's a little different for me as well. I've never hung out with a straight guy other than my own family members. So it feels weird lol. But I do enjoy his company, as well as he do mine. I'm glad he allowed himself to get to know me before judging me based on what he thought! He said when he 1st met me, I was so cool, and he didn't even know, or could tell I was gay, until it was told to him. He said he was in shock, but because we are cool, he couldn't bring himself to not liking me anymore based on my sexuality.
I'm glad we both have this experience. It's cool to hang out with a guy like him. We joke about girls, and guys all the time. Like I will say to him "look at that guy right there, isn't he fine? Like why wouldn't you want that beautiful man." lol. He looks at me in disgust lol... then he showed me a picture of a p**sy, and I almost died on spot right there lol lol. I totally enjoy my straight buddy company, and I wish the world was more like this all around.

I hate that people try to throw boundaries on a friendship where boundaries shouldn't be placed. I have a friend of a friend who's straight & he enjoys going to gay clubs & he's very cool....if people open up & get to know us instead of listening to what society says & seeing us as taboo then, the world would be more like that...we are still [cool] people who just happen to like the same sex....
Great post.
We can all contribute to a more tolerant world with those little gestures!
Great Post D....and like the others said "People are People"

Great post! The world needs more people like that. It's always great to have a friend like that.
I enjoyed reading this blog, Im glad that you have had such a good experience with your new buddy. Thanks for sharing this...
This is great... It's a shame that many are unable to get to the this truth or have the kinds of relationships with people who have varying beliefs, religions, sexuality, etc. that seem to enrich us instead of denigrate us. We're all people, beautiful people. And we become that much more beautiful when we're able to love and embrace our differences.
awe this is so healthy lol
love it!
Sometimes, we in the SGL community are the first to throw up boundaries. Granted, there are times when we have reason to be so guarded. Too often, however, we allow the attitudes of some bigots to become the mindset of all people...and essentially, we become just as narrow-minded as they are. Having said that, I applaud you on being as open-minded with others as you want them to be with/about you. In addition, friends are friends...and when you can find one who accepts you for you (and vice versa), then you have found a good thing. NO need for the superlatives...the camaraderie speaks for itself.
