Ledisi... Live

I went to see Ledisi a few weekends ago (March 27) @ RamsHead on Stage. And all I can say is this woman sang her face off!!! I mean she is a wonderful vocalist! EXCELLENT!!!! I've seen her before, but this time, I was really really blown away!!! Perfect vocals... and her personality is great. This show was very intimate & joyful. I love her music, and really support her career. If you haven't got a chance to see Ledisi live, your totally missing out on a great show!

Kelly Clarkson: ALL I EVER WANTED Tour

Last night me and my co workers went to see Kelly Clarkson at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA. All I can say is, this girl gave a excellent show. She sang her head off I tell you lol. She's a great artist, and I love her music. She was the 1st American Idol, and she's still around selling millions of records. I totally enjoyed my co workers. They were the best, and made this experience really memorable. I can't wait to get another Kelly album. She ROCKS!!!!!!

This is one of my favorite Kelly songs from her "My December" album titled "Hole".... she didn't do it @ the concert, but I wished she did! I remember feeling this way before lol.

American Idol Live Tour 2009

Last night me, and a co worker went to the American Idol Live Tour in DC @ the Verizon Center. I absolutely enjoyed this show. I know a lot of people may be SO over American Idol, but it's still one of my favorite shows, along with America's Next Top Model (shut up speaking hypothetically) lol. I really enjoy Adam last night & Allison (my favorite this season) the most. They rocked the house! I don't care what folks say Adam should have won this season. His performance was electrifying. Allison is the shhhhhh. Vocally, right now I don't know one 16 year old singer out who can mess with her. She killed that show last night. Anoop (that boy can sing!) & Danny was good as well. I think Lil' Rounds did a cool job. There is no doubt that she can sing, but I just felt like how they did on the show. It was just OK. And surprisingly there was another person who impressed me last night a bit, and that was Megan. She was pretty good.... Everyone else was just OK. But overall great show.

Beyonce`s I Am… Tour.......

......... was off the hook..... I know I'm posting this late, but I went to her show when she came to DC, and she shut it down. The funny part about it is, I didn't find out I was going until the day of the show. My boo said we just wasn't going to go because the tickets were too much, and so on. I was thinking to myself I NEVER MISS A BEYONCE` tour, but I said yes our bills come 1st so accepted the fact I wasn't going to go. Was sad too, but my baby surprised me with tickets. FLOOR seats at that. I was soooo happy. I got to see my wife up close lol. I was so close I could touch her almost. Believe me I tried lol. But this really made my summer. I love my baby for this, and I had a blast. I got one question....


How many of you been to this tour already? (well two questions lol) did you enjoy it? Beyonce` is the truth... a show worth seeing. Can't wait for the DVD!!!!!

Also I have to say when I saw Janet Wednesday night, I was so excited. She killed it. For her to be 42, She was kicking it, better than some 20 year olds, and I don't care what people say about Janet. She is still a legend, and I love her work, and support her stuff. Shout out to my Cuz for sharing this experience with me. Love you!!! ;)

SO what u got planned?

Mary J Blige: The Love Soul Tour @ the DC/Nissan Pavillion

Saturday I went to the DC/Nissan Pavillion to see the one and only Mary J. Blige. She killed that show that night I'm telling y'all. I mean she took you back to the "Real Love" days with the dancing and all. She looked great, and the show was put together very well. She did all her hits, and one of my highlights from the night was when she performed "No More Drama." When she performs this live she goes off! I like when she get the audience to sing the entire "I'm Goin Down" song. Mary is a great performer. I can never get enough of her. Great Show! With her was Robin Thicke, who did a good job & Dave Young.

Before I actually got to the show. I got car sick. I always get that way if I'm not driving... Ugh!!! LoL (that didn't stop me from pulling out my cell phone to snap this photo did it huh? LoL)

Mary J. Blige is my friend Sean fav singer. He was my company @ the show. It was so dark when I took this photo. Tried to brighten it up LoL... but he's the reason I got into these Mary shows in the 1st place. He took me to my 1st one, an I've been hooked every since.

FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!! LoL

As you all know Friday seems to be a holiday over here every week lol. But I can't help it. You hard all week and you just look forward to it, at least I do.

A few things.

I keep hearing that "Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys" was an great movie. Was supposed to have seen it last week, but my baby got sick so we rescheduled for this weekend. There are two things I keep hearing about this movie. The 1st one, Sanaa Lathan gave a excellent performance. And 2 Tyler Perry needs to really stop acting in his movies LoL. How true is this y'all? Oh should he just continue to just dress up and act???? But yeah I will be checking this out, and letting you all know what I think about it sometime next week.

Also. In theaters today, "Lakeview Terrace" starring Samuel L. Jackson & Kerry Washington. I may check this out if I get the time. But I'm very interested in seeing it. Considering how I feel about cops lately (coming up next week in a blog).

Saturday, I will be driving to VA to go see Mary J. Blige and Robin Thicke in concert, so I'm all excited about that. If you haven't seen Mary live, then you are so like missing out on a great live show. She puts her soul in it. This will be my 4th Mary Show.

Y'all probably won't believe this, but I will be doing all this while packing to move, going to class (yes I have class on Saturdays. I go to a Beauty School, not college LoL), and visiting my very super sexy special friend LoL... lets say I'm a very busy man. My boy Z always say "DAMN U ALWAYS DOING SOMETHING" Lmao. Well I can't help it. I like to have fun.

It's Friday!!!!!!!

So yes it Friday!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad.

I went to see the American Idol show last night in DC, and it was pretty cool. It gets kinda boring as the years go by. I've been to every single show since the 1st one. So I can't stop now lol. But over all it was a fun event, and I'm glad I went with my best friend. Can't wait for the new season to come back on.

Check out the movie Swing Vote! I loved this movie. I really enjoyed it. It stared Kevin Costner, Kelsey Grammer, and Paula Patton to name a few. It really shows how important voting can be, which I hope everyone with be doing this up and coming election. But yeah Swing Vote is the movie to see right now. Worth every dime!

This weekend I plan on helping a friend celebrate his birthday so I will be extremely busy with that.

Alicia Keys As I Am Tour

On Friday me and my best friend went to go see Alicia Keys in concert, and it was hot! Alicia Keys is one of those artist that you can't help but love to watch on stage. This woman is going to truly be a legend in the future mark my words. She did and excellent show. She loves her piano ;)!!!! This is my 3rd time seeing her, and I have to say I didn't expect anything but greatness from her, and that's what I got. I had great seats great company, and a pretzel, so I was all good lol. She is so beautiful!! I wanna see her again. She was her in Baltimore last night but we saw her Friday in DC @ the Verizon Center. Along with her was Jordin Sparks, who I truly believe can sing. I don't know maybe it's because of her age, but something about her throws me off at times. She did good, but it not something I would get excited about. Maybe her next album will have more "No Air" type of songs on it, because trust me that song is what saved her album believe that! I like "Tattoo" too, but there aren't to many likeable songs on her album in my opinion. Also, Ne-Yo was there. Now I have to say this boy surprised the hell out of me. Even though he imitated Michale Jackson alot, his show was hot! He dance (and his background dancers was the s**t lol, those girls were working it) his butt off. He's not someone I ever thought I would enjoy @ a concert, but I really did. He blew me away to be honest. So good for Ne-Yo.

Making The Band Tour "2008"

Last night I went to the Making The Band Tour and it was hot! OMG that was a good show.

It started of with Cheri Dennis. This girl can really sing and move on stage. She perform songs from her album "In & Out Of Love", which I think was cool. My only beef with that is her music sounds so outdated because I heard most of these songs when Diddy tried to create the 1st batch of his now hot group Danity Kane. But never the less Cheri did a great job. "Portrait Of Love" was my song. When she did that people got excited. Hope she one day gets the recognition she deserves. She been with Bad Boy longer that all the people she opened for last night.

Then came out Donnie Klang. Oh the girls went crazy. I mean they had signs and everything. I felt like I was in the audience of an American Idol live performance lol. He didn't do many songs. (I guess he wouldn't considering the fact he doesn't have an album out yet!) I thought he was cool. Did nothing really exciting for me but he did ok. Need to see him perform more to really see if he can put it down as a solo artist.

Day 26 was really good. They looked good sounded good, and put on a great show. They really surprised me. They really had me like wow theses dudes are really performing. They came out in their little suit and ties and put it down. That Q and Willie was hot lol. I was standing there like a regular dude watching the show, but inside I was screaming yes Lawd lmao. Hmm hmmmm. Theses boys really made me like some songs of their album I never really paid attention to. Robert still to me has the best voice, and it sounds even hotter live. Over all the guys killed it and I give them their props.

"When the lights came on they really did transform" lol. Danity Kane laid it down last night. I have to say this is Diddy's prize possession right now. His money maker. These girl were on point at every moment. Their outfits were HOT! Their dance moves and choreography was tight. They are beyond what any female girl group has to offer right now. You know know how in Destiny Child Beyonce was the standout girl? Well in this group they ALL standout. They all have something that makes this group a whole, and I couldn't keep my eyes off them. They sang and performed like it was nobodies business. I loved their whole entire concept and what they did with their show! I can't wait to see these girls again. Danity Kane has a bright future ahead of them. Diddy knew what he was doing when he gave us them lol.

Even though I'm a little under the weather right now with a cold, and pink eye. I'm still enjoying this wonderful week thus far. Now its time to hit the movies. Gotta rock my shades until this eye get it together. You will not catch me out with my eye looking like this *hmpt* lol. I'm so upset I couldn't take no photos this week lol. I been hearing that "Sex & The City" was great. But I told my friends STOP!! We will talk about it once I see it lol. As my weekend continues, stay tuned. ;)
